Description: Folklorists de Caro and Jordan interviewed Britons who lived and worked in pre-independence India as colonial administrators, civil servants, missionaries, soldiers, forestry officials, and engineers. Many interviews focus on daily life in India and the contact of cultures and cultural identity.
